WYD is an experience that enhances friendships, sharing and a lot of faith.
60 thousand young people in Cascais, in a meeting of cultures, nationalities and faiths

World Youth Day is a transformative event, bringing together thousands of different cultures from hundreds of different countries, with the ultimate goal of promoting faith. However, this great moment only materializes with the participation of people and, in particular, with the involvement of pilgrims. But, in fact, what moves a pilgrim to participate in World Youth Day?

For the pilgrims allocated in Cascais, mostly Spanish, the answers vary. For some, participating in WYD is a unique and unmissable opportunity, enabling sharing and connection with people from all corners of the world. For others, it is an experience that strengthens their faith, allowing them to get closer to God and showing that there is Christian faith in the whole world. Despite the different answers, everyone has a smile on their faces and shares the joy of being in Portugal to celebrate such a unique moment as World Youth Day.
